PostHeaderIcon Things Not To Do While Young…

So I’ve spent many years being young and stupid. I’m sure many others have as well as it’s something others generally experience as well. It’s hard to truely regret anything you’ve done in the past if it was a positive experience; playing football, ski trips with the family, and other adventures that simply take a toll on the body after awhile.

It’s easy to look back and notice things that have had a lasting effect on your body or mental well being. Doing stupid selfish things like skipping a nice family reunion or other event can be very damaging. Make sure to call you family members and friends regularly. Let me put it this way without getting to personal, sometimes you never know if it will be the last time your talking to someone.

Body wise it’s really to mess stuff up. I did construction for many years and, while I’m more of the designer/planner, I spent many years as a grunt man. Now as a grunt you do everything from lifting and carrying things all over the place and to hammering in nails. There is of course, the inherent dangers of construction too. But while most my accidents or other work related problems will lead to funny stories to tell the grandkids and share with old pals some aren’t as nice. Herniated disc, anyone? Messed up backs are lovely.

I mentioned sports and stuff earlier as well and that can cause problems down the line. Wouldn’t have traded the experience for the world though even know but I can still nearly predict the weather with my right knee. Again a funny story for the grandkids!
